Amy Smart

Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Her birthplace and childhood was in California, USA, she started her modelling career in Italy. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the TV film 'Her Costly Affair'. In the following years, after which she starred as a supporting character in the movie "Starship Troopers", she struggled very hard. Amy had a difficult time making the switch from modeling to acting because models were generally not considered to be good actors. They often were offered small roles that were not important. Amy didn't give up. She outdid herself in her roles from the 1970's series as well as the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy film "Just Friends" featuring Ryan Reynolds gave her her first major role. It was a significant film at the box office and Amy has finally achieved the recognition that she was striving for for over 10 years.
