Anna Chlumsky continued to charm the audience with her starring role in films such as "Trading Mother," and Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain. Her work in these films has earned her several prestigious awards early on in her career. When she was in her teens The girl who was absent from her classmates during film shoots became disenchanted in the world of showbiz. She was interested in acting but her interest in the business waned and she turned her attention to education. Although she wanted to be the food writer, she ended up working as a fact-checker at Zagat's guide to eating out. In fact, her new job as an editorial assistant at HarperCollins felt like a burden. Following the advice from her agent she decided that she would return to acting. They took acting classes in order to improve her acting skills. Soon after, she was able to be cast as Liza in "In the Loop" as well as began to appear for Off Broadway productions. Though she does wonder what could have transpired had she been able to stay away from acting, it's a good thing that she did not.
