Annette Funicello is an American performer and actress. Her most famous role was as one of Mickey Mouse Club's "Mouseketeers". As a teenager Annette began her professional career in singing and became known for the hit song "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess.' Annette, who was raised by Italian immigrants in Utica as a child, is a very introverted person. Since she wanted to pursue an enviable career in the field of entertainment, Annette began acting and dancing. In the mid-1950s, she received a lot of attention due to her roles on "Disney" comedy sketches. Later in her life, Annette shredded her 'Disney persona, and appeared in numerous adult roles.
