Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is an incredibly well-known American actress and singer. She is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her mother is Polish and her father German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talent for entertainment was recognized at an early age. She was able to land her first acting role in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell was contacted by an agent by her mother before the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on television and newspaper commercials. At this time Bell also started private acting lessons. Bell made an appearance on the screen in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell participated in the Drama and Music Club of Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the high-school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell went to The Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. Bell left college in 2001 when she landed the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. The is the year she had her first credit debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however, her performance was cut and she was only seen in the credit sequence. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
