Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician. She started by releasing hilarious, intelligently composed rap songs that addressed issues like racial identification and sexuality. Later, she broadened her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. In addition to classical and jazz, the young Nora started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. When she was in college, she focused on her studies. She took up a degree in women's studies and journalism. In a short period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. She didn't start focusing on music until the time she graduated. My Vag, her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a viral hit on the Internet and was later featured on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. This album also featured songs that were viral such as body positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. This track was directly linked into another venture Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in 2015. After a successful career as a singer and songwriter, she took on the role of actor. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored major roles in a variety of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
