Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham a chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. In the early 90s, Barone appeared on a number of occasions in Carol & Company as a co-star alongside Carol Burnett. Barone had played the role of her husband, Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friends' first ever appearance. Jane Sibbett replaced her after she left to take on a full-time position. Barone was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show from 1995 until 1996, and The War at Home 2005-2007. In 2000 Barone was also a co-star on the show Daddio. Barone is also known for her TV roles on Desperate Housewives Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline, In the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. Barone was awarded the Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award in 2005 for her role in the show One Last Ride. Barone plays a part that she reprises on Shake It Up on Disney Channel that began the following year, three years after The War at Home had ended. The role in which she plays officer Georgia Jones who is the mother CeCe Jones played by Bella Thorne. Matthew Glave played J.J. Jones, the former husband of the character played by Barone for two seasons.
